- Immersion heater not heating — a failed heating element or a faulty thermostat is the most frequent cause. The cylinder fills with cold water and the element simply stops doing its job.
- Thermostat stuck or set incorrectly — the water stays lukewarm or scalds; either way it needs attention promptly.
- Hot water cylinder leaking — pinhole corrosion, a failed pressure-relief valve, or a weeping joint can all let water escape. Left unchecked, even a slow drip causes significant damage.

We work on vented (open-vented) cylinders with a header tank as well as unvented (mains-pressure) cylinders. Unvented cylinder work is carried out only by engineers holding the appropriate G3 qualification, so you can be confident the repair meets current Building Regulations.
